When buying a TVR 'S', follow the same guidelines that you
would with a regular car. Usually, the later the car the better, although the nature of
the car is that people will look after them well. Look at a number of models, pay
attention to service history and check the car in daylight!
Test drive around a variety of roads if possible, it's a different motoring experience - make it's going to be suitable for the type of driving you do (even if it isn't, buy it anyway!). Check that you're comfortable with a lack of power steering, it can get heavy at low speeds. If you get your timing right, you'll get a better price. Prices are seasonal, you'll get a better deal buying in winter than in mild weather. To get an idea of what it might cost to insure an 'S', check out the TVR Insurance Guide. |
