Even more exclusive than the Turbo were the handful of Turbo SE cars, with SE standing for Special Equipment. On the outside the SE was characterised by a modified body work with larger wheel arches in order to accommodate new and bigger Compomotive split-rim alloy wheels. 

The bonnet featured a larger bulge and the vinyl sunroof was replaced with a glass one. Inside full leather upholstery and aircon came as standard. In total there have only been four SE cars, of which three Taimar Turbo SEs and a unique Convertible Turbo SE. The latter was used by Martin Lilley as personal transport for some time.
