Another year, another Goodwood Revival. A unique event in the
motoring calendar, almost like Henley with cars. Many people enter into the spirit of the
event by donning 1950's costume which coupled with the period buildings at the restored
Goodwood, makes for a very 1950's feel to the whole day. For three days the historic cars roar around the circuit. It's no wonder Goodwood has severe noise restrictions for the rest of the year. The noise these cars make is incredible. Historic racing driver Nigel Corner was injured in a spectacular accident on the Sunday. Corner was thrown clear of his Ferrari 246 Dino after a collision at the start of the race for Formula 1 cars of a type that raced between 1957 and 1961. He is being treated at St Richards hospital in Chichester where doctors have stated that he has suffered a broken collar bone and cracked ribs.
